Welcome to Violetta, birthplace of the equines, the home of horses with unimaginable abilities. Though they may look normal, they can in fact control certain elements. So far, the only elements to be controlled by these horses are darkness, electricity, light, ice, forest, invisibility, water, earth, fire, wind and shadow. All inhabitants of Violetta have lived in peace from the beginning, but with the birth of the first Shadow, all of that changed. In the region of the Spine, Shadows had come together as a kingdom, united against all other equine.

Now the Shadow king prepares to wage war against the Northern and Coastal kingdoms. What will become of those equine who are not of the shadow ability? And when the time comes for three foals to be born with unimaginable powers, will chaos rule these lands?
